“Legal Dimensions of U.S- Israeli Aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran”

The International Law Review Journal of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran announces publication of a special issue devoted to exploring the legal dimensions of aggression, military threats, coercive sanctions, and destabilizing actions by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The issue aims to provide critical legal analysis grounded in international law, including international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and state responsibility.

  • Topics of Interest include, but are not limited to:
  • The Prohibition of the Use of Force under the UN Charter (Article 2(4))
  • The Right to Self-Defense under Article 51 and Customary International Law
  • Violations of International Human Rights Law through Military and Cyber Operations
  • Illegality of Attacks on Civilian and Nuclear Installations
  • International Humanitarian Law and Civilian Protection
  • State Responsibility for Acts of Aggression
  • Threats to International Peace and Security & the Role of the UN Security Council
  • Legality of Pre-emptive or Preventive Use of Force
  • Legal Dimensions of Unilateral Coercive Sanctions
  • The Role of the ICJ and Other International Judicial Fora
  • Submission Guidelines:

Interested authors are invited to submit an abstract of up to 300 words along with their biography and institutional affiliation by [August 6, 2025] to [ Cilamag@cila.ir or Cilamag2@gmail.com ]. Authors of the selected abstracts will be invited to submit full-length of Their papers (6,000–8,000 words) following a double-blind peer review.

Accepted papers will be published in the special issue of the International Law Review of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Cilamag.ir (ISSN: 2645-4858  ).
